Zera Noya: A Dutch Bakery With A Unique Twist

Attention foodies of Kochi! We have some exciting news for you. There’s a new spot in town, and we couldn’t wait to share it with you all. Introducing Zera Noya, a Dutch bakery located in The Croft, Kacheripady. Although we desire to keep this undisclosed treasure to ourselves, we couldn’t resist sharing it by posting about it.

The Dutch pastry chef Sara Lisa and her Malayali husband Vibin Varghese, ran a Dutch bakery out of their apartment. Their business picked up during the lockdown, and they would bake per order. As people started to love their Dutch goods, they were able to scale their business over the years and have now finally started an offline store in The Croft in Cochin.

Zera Noya is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but when they’re open, you can visit from 1 PM till they sell out, so be sure to visit them early. They’re currently trial baking and training their staff, so show them some love and support.

Be patient with them as they work hard on perfecting their bakery and training their fantastic team. Once they are confident, they will have an official launch party and longer opening hours. We can’t wait for that day to come!

The inspiration behind their logo is quite interesting. The Bicycle in their logo represents the Netherlands, which is proudly pronounced to be the country of cyclists as it carries the record of the most significant number of cyclists globally. Dutch people are proud of their bicycles, and that’s why the Bicycle is in their logo! It resembles their country, culture, and their Dutch products.

At Zera Noya, they use only the best ingredients. They use French imported cream and European recipes for butter and cream cheese. And they use only Belgian Callebaut chocolate! All their jams are natural and imported from Europe. They love working with the best ingredients even though they are pricey. But hey, quality comes at a price, right?

We are so happy to witness that Zera Noya has an outlet in Kochi, and we can’t wait to visit them again. This Dutch bakery is a must-visit if you’re a foodie who loves trying new things. Trust us; you won’t be disappointed.
