The 2020 Miss Kerala just got over, and the winners have been announced. Because of COVID-19, the event was held virtually for the first time ever. Sijoy Varghese, Rajeev Pillai, Sija Rose and international groomer Newton Manohar were the judges for the competition. They selected 11 contestants to participate in the final four rounds of the competition.

The Miss Kerala 2020 title goes to Erin Liz John, a final year MBBS student studying at Kozhikode Medical College. Athira Rajeev, a Malayali from Kannur but based in the United States was honoured with the first runner up title. Also hailing from Kannur, Ashwathi Nambiar, a Mechanical Engineer was awarded the second runner up title. Congratulations!

In 2019, Miss Kerala decided to make use of social media to promote their auditions. “2019 edition of Miss Kerala’s digital auditions, a first in pageant history, created impactful digital imprints with fifty million impressions in Tik-Tok and 5 million views on Instagram and the contestants and sponsors were the beneficiaries of it. This year’s pageant will see more digital impressions through the creation of video content for pageant rounds and brand engagement.”
