Marvel’s first Asian superhero Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) grabbed eyeballs and hearts all over the world. The film Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings has had raving reviews from critics. It’s currently the next best offering from Marvel after the Avengers: Endgame. Unfortunately, some of us couldn’t watch it on the big screens because of COVID.
Guess what? With theatres opening in Kerala, we’re back to watching movies the OG way.
Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings was recently released in Maharashtra. It is now all set to release in theatres across Kerala on October 27th. We’re super excited to watch this martial arts-inspired superhero origin story.
The film stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film has an all-Asian ensemble cast consisting of Simu Liu, Tony Leung, Awkwafina, Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng with Michelle Yeoh.
The fight sequences will make you sit forward in your seat with your eyes wide open. You will not leave the theatre with a disappointing face. Rather, you’ll most probably mimick the martial art scenes and tip topple over a table. LOL.
Anyway, it’s coming soon to Kerala so book your seats right away. Only those who have taken both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be allowed to enter the theatres. Theatres in Kerala are allowed to run only at 50% seating capacity.
