The WWE Has A New Face And She Is A Malayali!

The WWE recently announced that Sanjana George has been recruited to the WWE Performance Centre.

Sanjana is a 26-year-old MMA fighter who hails from Kottayam. In an interview with the Times of India, she says that she was introduced to MMA via kickboxing at the age of 16. She says that she was drawn to the sport as she felt that, being an introvert, it gave her the confidence she wanted.

Sanjana is also an obstacle course racer and a functional trainer.

She appeared for the WWE try-outs that were held in Mumbai in 2019. It was supposedly the biggest event they’ve had so far and there were 3000 applicants for the 4-day try-outs. Four of them made it, with Sanjana being the only female applicant to qualify. She is currently in Orlando, US, training with the WWE. She says that her training had to start from scratch as she does not have experience with wrestling, but also says that she has the best coaches in the industry and that she is getting better every day.
