The Line-Up
Formed in 2016, Metafolks is a Malayalam hard rock and stoner metal band led by Sooraj Nambiatt and his brothers. Known for exploring themes of extraterrestrial life, religion, conspiracy theories, and world mythology, their sound is chilling and unique. With years of stage experience in and outside Kerala, Metafolks is ready to shake the floor with Sooraj Nambiatt on vocals, Abhijith Nambiatt on bass, and Nithin Joseph on drums.

This three-piece band, formed in 2021, is known for its indie-rock and alternative-pop soundscapes. With influences from Switchfoot, Kodaline, U2, and Dave Matthews Band, their music blends simplicity with soaring emotion. Their singles such as Starting Now, December, 4am, and Drop A Tear And Disappear have connected with listeners across India. Postcard 17 is all about melodies that linger long after the song is over.
Cheeveed brings a raw exploration of grief, resilience, and the truths of existence. Emerging from Kochi’s rain-soaked shores, their music draws from the cycles of life and death. Aprilsaway is Kochi’s fast-rising metal band that made their debut in January 2025 with the single Rise. Blending post-hardcore and alternative metal with anthemic melodies, they have quickly gained a global following. With powerful vocals and relentless energy, Aprilsaway is set to bring a surge of adrenaline to Groove Fest Vol. 2.
