Seems like the red flag emoji is the hottest emoji right now! People all over the internet, especially Twitterati, are using this emoji on their tweets to make a statement. Here’s what red flags mean, in case you’ve been living under a rock.

A red flag is an indication of a warning sign or something that is problematic. The red flag emoji trend started when a group of Black Twitter users used it to highlight the problems in the dating scene. But, damn, the trend spiralled and how! Twitter reported that 1.5 million tweets were sent out with this particular emoji.
