While Idukki is tucked away from the serene backwaters and coconut plantations, it is one of the most scenic and beautiful hill stations in Kerala. It came into existence as a separate district on 26th January 1972, when Kottayam district was split into two. So there is considerable overlap in the Malayalam spoken by people from both regions. But we have compiled a list of words, with help from some Idukkikaar, to bring this post to you.
